Williams Renovation
This was a main-floor renovation project outside of Charlottesville. An aged, 2-bed, 1-bath main floor was transformed into a 1-bed, 1.5-bath cottage-style layout.
The Problem
The kitchen and main floor bathroom of this 1970's farmhouse were outdated, inefficient, and uninviting. The main floor lacked a dedicated master bedroom and guest bath, and the finishes were badly dated. Our scope involved a complete kitchen redesign, and converting a 2-bed, 1-bath main floor layout into a 1-bed, 1.5-bath layout. During construction, the scope evolved to include a full first-floor finish upgrade.

The Solution
Our team sat down with the Owners and discussed their vision for their space and their aesthetic desires, ensuring a client-driven solution to these issues. The Owners wanted a "Cottage-Core" aesthetic to mirror their summers at Martha's Vineyard, so our team worked with them to create a design that met their needs.
For the new main floor master suite, they wanted a large walk-in shower and a soaking tub. The renderings provided the visuals they needed to sign off on the design.

The Process
After rendering the new design, working through the smallest of details, and collaborating with the Contractor, the end result is a brighter, more inviting space that is much better suited to the needs and functions of the family. Although some details changed during construction and the project scope expanded, the aesthetic stayed

The Outcome
The new space has become a gathering area for family and friends alike, and will hold up for years to come. Because of the client-focused approach, we made sure that the final design stayed affordable and within budget - and the results speak for themselves.
